Shorter walks, more shade, zero rush — the whole city at a civilised tempo. This is a fully private experience in Abu Dhabi: your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, and an itinerary that flexes on the day.

One price covers the whole vehicle for up to 6 guests — bring the family and the price does not move. Allow about 7 hours. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.

This is the version of the city you cannot see from a tour bus: rooms, tables and streets chosen by people who live here, sequenced so each stop makes the next one make sense.

Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before travel, and you can pay on the day.

What it costs your group

Your day, stop by stop

  1. 09:00 · A civilised start

Pickup after breakfast, not before it. Your driver-guide meets you in the lobby, the Carnival is already cool, and the day's route is talked through before you move. Nothing is fixed yet.

  2. 09:45 · The Grand Mosque without the march

We take the shortest sensible route through the courtyards and prayer hall, pausing in the shade while the guide does the storytelling. Wheelchairs are typically available on site if the marble distances stretch. Modest dress for all, and abayas can be borrowed.

  3. 11:30 · Coffee, dates and a proper sit-down

Gahwa and fresh dates somewhere quiet, taken at conversation pace. This is a scheduled stop, not a concession.

  4. 12:30 · Lunch without a clock

A table is booked and it stays booked. Cuisine is your call — Emirati, Lebanese or something familiar. The afternoon starts when you are ready.

  5. 14:00 · One great museum, slowly

Typically the Louvre Abu Dhabi or Qasr Al Hosn, chosen with you on the day. Both are level, lift-served and generous with benches. One visited properly beats three glimpsed.

  6. 15:30 · The city from the passenger seat

Corniche, palaces and the presidential district as a slow scenic drive with commentary. All of the views, none of the walking.

  7. 16:00 · Back before the traffic

Drop-off at your hotel with the evening still ahead of you and no aching feet to show for the day.

Insider tips

  • November to March is the sweet spot — mosque courtyards in soft morning light, coffee outdoors and no battle with the heat.
  • Take the Carnival's middle-row seats — the best view, the easiest access and the smoothest ride.
  • At the Louvre, ask your guide for a handful of star rooms rather than the full sweep — standing under the dome is half the visit anyway.
  • Carry medications in your daypack, not the hotel safe — the day is flexible and you may decide to stay out for the late light.
  • If stairs are the enemy but you dislike the idea of a wheelchair, say so — nearly all of this day can be routed by lift and ramp, and nobody will make a fuss.

Questions, answered

How much walking is actually involved?

Around 30 to 40 minutes at any one stretch, at most, and always with seating in sight. The mosque is the longest stint and we shorten it further on request. Everything else moves at whatever pace suits you.

What about the heat?

From October to April, mornings are honestly pleasant and the day is built outdoors-early, indoors-later. In summer we compress outdoor time into short shaded windows and keep the Carnival's cold air a minute away. Water is always on board.

Can you accommodate a walking stick or rollator?

Easily. The boot takes a rollator or a folding wheelchair, and your driver-guide handles loading, doorways and kerbs without being asked twice. Tell us at booking so the day is routed step-free.

Are there enough toilet stops?

Yes, and they are planned rather than improvised. Every venue on the route has clean facilities and the guide knows exactly where they are. Just say the word between stops.

Can we skip something or finish early?

Any time. Private touring means the itinerary is a menu, not a contract — drop a stop, stretch a lunch, head back early. There is no group to consult.

Is the driver trained for medical situations?

Guides hold standard first-aid training, and Abu Dhabi's hospitals are excellent and never far. But this is a tour, not a medical escort service — if you travel with specific medical needs, bring your usual support and tell us in advance so we plan sensibly.

What happens after you book

  1. You get a confirmation straight away, with the reference and everything included in writing.

  2. The evening before, your driver messages you on WhatsApp with the exact pickup time and their name.

  3. On the day they are early, the water is cold, and the plan bends to you. Pay then, or in advance — your call.
