Lunch comes from a certified kosher kitchen, arranged before you flew. You will have seen the certification already, so the table holds no surprises — just a proper meal in the middle of a touring day, which for years was the hard part of visiting this region.

The afternoon goes to Jean Nouvel's dome and a museum that tells civilisation's story side by side rather than in silos — its universal-religion galleries place sacred texts of the three faiths in open conversation. Swap in Qasr Al Watan or the Corniche if museums are not your speed.
16:30 · The Grand Mosque, if you wish
An optional golden-hour visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Non-Muslims are welcome outside prayer times, modest dress applies with abayas loanable on site, and many Jewish guests count it among the trip's highlights. Entirely your call — the day loses nothing without it.
17:30 · A Shabbat-aware finish
Drop-off is timed to your observance: on Fridays we plan the day to have you at your hotel comfortably before sundown, and we book nothing for Saturday unless you ask. Around eight hours, built around your rules rather than against them.

Insider tips

Give maximum notice on meals. Kosher kitchens here cook to order, and the difference between two days' warning and a week's is the difference between adequate and excellent.
Do the Abrahamic Family House early in the day, before the tour groups — the plaza works best with room to stand still in.
Plan your heavy touring Sunday to Thursday. The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday, Friday afternoons slow down, and your Shabbat fits neatly against that grain.
Carry sealed snacks and fruit between arranged meals — grocery shops are everywhere and the reliable option is always in your bag.

Is kosher food genuinely available in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. Certified kosher kitchens have operated in the UAE since the Abraham Accords, and we arrange your meals with certified partners rather than improvising. Advance notice is essential — typically 48 to 72 hours — because meals are prepared to order.

Which certification standard do the kitchens hold?

Standards vary by kitchen, so we send you the specific certification before you commit and let you judge it against your own standard. If it does not meet it, we will say so plainly — sealed products, cold items and fruit are the honest fallback, and we will build the day around them.

Is it safe to be visibly Jewish in the UAE?

The UAE hosts open Jewish communal life, and guests wear kippot in public here without incident. Normal travel awareness applies as it would anywhere, but most observant visitors report the same thing: it felt more relaxed than they expected.

How do you handle Shabbat?

Friday tours are scheduled to end comfortably before sundown, and we book nothing on Saturday unless you explicitly ask. Sunday to Thursday is the natural touring window here, and multi-day guests usually plan around exactly that.

Should we visit the Grand Mosque?

It is optional, and no pressure attaches either way. Non-Muslims are welcome outside prayer times, modest dress is required with abayas available to borrow, and many Jewish travellers find the visit — and the welcome — genuinely moving.

We keep specific stringencies — chalav Yisrael, pas Yisrael. Can you accommodate them?

Sometimes, and we will not pretend otherwise. Tell us your requirements at booking, we put them to the kitchens, and we come back with a straight answer about what is and is not possible for your dates.
